may I just brag on my "nephew-in-law" Wagner for a moment?
Wagner, born and raised in Brazil, the husband of my extremely talented niece Emily, is one of our newest citizens! I'm very proud of him! In her note, Emily made mention of the fact he was sworn in on their anniversary. Two happy years down, many more to come!
Join me in a cheer for Wagner, please!! Hip hip, Hooray!

Well done, Wagner. And good luck!
Next time he visits you should strap on your travellin' shoes and take him to the Brasilian restaurant in Winchester. My dad's favorite and he is definitely a Brasil-o-phile...he had the Brasil flag done in ceramic in his entry hall for heaven's sake. Of course when in Winchester you should jaunt across the state line and stop in at my dad's place...I imagine you probably used to know his OLD place way back when he did the band thing there :)
congrats to wagner and emily.
Where the hell are you?
i am still in nashville. However, i'm finally leaving...no offense mony!
and z...details, please. What was the name of your dad's place?
Do you remember The Frame in Martinsburg, which, back in the late 70's and early 80's was akin to the Cellar Door, etc?
Maybe I am just glorifying the place...but maybe not. :)
nope, sorry. I was very montgomery county-centric until I had my own car, and that wasn't I came back after grad school. But, I'm going to ask a few friends who were a bit older, I'm sure they know the place.
And knowing what I do about the area, and the times, I'm sure it was a hopping place!
The brasilian place in winchester sounds promising. Road trip, anyone?
I'll be in the 'hood at the end of the month :)
Well, the Frame was a hair band, metal kind of place. Face Dancer, Kix, Grand Hotel, that kind of thing. I never really got that much into it myself as I had been raised getting myself up to the Farm Report on WEPM every day.
